There is a strong possibility that you will suffer from depression if one of your parents or family members suffers from depression.


Childhood events

Some unpleasant events that occurred in childhood, such as severe mental stress or trauma, also increase the chances of depression.

Some diseases can also cause depression. These diseases include anemia, chronic pain or discomfort, cancer, heart attack, etc.


Alcohol use
